Peacefully now, on April 28, 2020 in her 98th year, after a slow decline in health. Remembered by her family, her nephews, John Parsons (wife Sandra) and their children Anne and Andrew (wife Brigitte and their son Samuel), Doug Parsons, David Craig (wife Sandra), Don Smith and Brian Ferriman. Predeceased by her father, Donald Craig and mother, Agnes Craig, her sisters Muriel Parsons, Florence Gilchrest, Ruby Ferriman and her brothers, Don Craig and Edgar Craig. We would also like to thank her friends at Villagia in the Glebe for all their care and friendship over her time there. Viola was for many years a florist in the family business in Ottawa. She made wonderful flower arrangements. Later, she was able to work for the Post Office and she enjoyed her work there and the camaraderie. Over many years, she worked with a group of people at Knox Presbyterian Church which she enjoyed and was proud of her contribution to the church. We want to thank the Starwood Long Term Care Facility for all the care and comfort to Viola during her stay there. We discovered how much the nurses and administration cared for and helped the residents. We would also thank Dr. Auer for his help and care in Viola’s last weeks as well as Dr. Neil Rogers for his care for Viola over the years before she went to Starwood. With love and fond memories, Viola will be remembered by friends and family.
