June and Tony Eyton

June and I are greatly saddened by Brian's death. Before we left Ottawa in October for our six month sojourn in Mexico, we visited with Brian at the Montfort Hospital and could see he was unwell; still we held out hope for a full recovery. We have known and loved Brian for a very long time, more than 50 years, during Ottawa assignments and abroad when we were both posted to Brazil. He was indeed an outstanding person - full of common good sense, possessing a wry and wicked sense of humour, loving of friends and colleagues and devoted to his wife and family. Although his lofty career achievements were many and varied, we think of him more as a fellow Canadian Government trade commissioner who was dedicated to the success of Canadian exporters and to Canada as an exporting nation. Brian was a very special guy, and we will miss him.
