Condolence From: Cheryl Goldsmith
Condolence: Dear Joan,
Please accept my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your mother. I remember her as she was so many years ago when we all lived in Cote St. Luc. With her black hair, she was a lovely woman, who valued all that was creative, and instilled a love of those things in you and in Alan. However painful it is to see your parent diminish with age, it is still a rare gift to have your mother with you even as we become seniors, although, in some ways, the loss is even more deeply felt. Know that my thoughts are with you at this very sad time, even though circumstances do not permit me to offer my support in person. May you be able to draw comfort from memories of your mother as she was in happier times, and may you and your family know no further sorrow. Baruch dayan emet.

Condolence: Alan, Joannie, memories go back to when you both were little ones. Since my late sister, Bess Yeager was a "best friend" of Yetta's for the better part of their lives, being Bess' kid-sister, I was privileged to be in her circle of friends - Yetta her closest - sharing their love of the arts. Yetta was always generous with down-to-earth practical no-nonsense advice when asked about anything. I was grateful for her influence and I can imagine her saying, "well, what did you expect, I'm 95!" It's tough, I know. My condolences ...love, Gertie
