He will be missed by a loving family, Moira, Bonnie (David), Avril, Andrew, Sarah (Juanchy), Emma Isabella, Christine, Tina (Pat) and many great-nephews, and great-grand nephew. So many knew him as Rolly, a gentle, kind man who cared about all those he came in touch with. He started his working career June 9, 1965 when he joined the Canadian Armed Forces. Following his training he joined the Topographical Survey of Mapping and Charting at 615 Booth Street. He retired from the military in 1986 and joined Energy Mines and Resources as a computer programmer/analyst. He retired from the federal government in 2002. The care given to Rolland by Dr. Mong, Dr. Flynn, Dr. Parsons and the kindest of nurses at the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Ward gave great comfort to him and to Moira, Avril and Bonnie who were by his side during his short stay at the hospital. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville,on Monday June 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Donations to The Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Ward would be appreciated.
