One memory of Allan that will stay with me forever is when he'd visit us in the country with the family. He'd take his bagpipes out and walk quite far down the road out of site. We'd here the pipes emerging from the silence of the quiet country long before we could see him. The contrast of the typical sounds we'd here and his bagpipes was exhilarating.
Rest in peace Allan and I truly hope that the sound of bagpipes echo wherever you may be now.
