Stephen Leighton
I am proud to have had the privilege of bathing in the light of friendship from such a man as a James Chisholm.
To have fed off the intellect; one powered by a wonderful mixture of an artistic bent shaped by the Bohemian nature of 1970's Montréal, as well as an abundant dose of cynicism informed by Quebec politics. All this, expressed in a quick, dry, biting wit; a unique brand of sarcastic humour. Such was it a joy to provoke comment from James on any number of subjects.
Gentle natured, kind spirited, and meticulously neat.
NEVER a morning person. You know what I'm talkin' about.
The time so short. The loss is deep.
The die is cast; the legacy proud.
The tender progeny, may he be led to appreciate that his father was loved. So shall it always be...
